Music Together® Outdoors

Spend time singing, dancing, and making music with your child outside! Outdoor music classes have been one of the pleasant surprises to come out of being creative during the pandemic. We are able to incorporate our beautiful surroundings in our classes, and are loving it! Our outdoor classes are far away from distracting playgrounds, but close to outdoor bathrooms should we need them! :)

Outdoor Class Details:

What to bring: Please pack a water-proof blanket for your family to sit on (sometimes the ground is wet!). You may also want water bottles, sunscreen and perhaps bug spray. No snacks during class please.

Enjoying class time: Please bring your own blanket. Toddlers will naturally want to move around. We ask everyone to check in with the families around them and determine your own level of comfort with contact from those around you. Please advocate for your family.

Families will be provided with sanitized instruments in each class. Families my opt to bring their own instruments from home if they prefer.

Restroom use: Though there are park bathrooms available, families are encouraged to use the restroom at home. We are not responsible for bathroom cleanliness or access.

Weather:  We will hold our classes outside for the duration of the semester. Please dress appropriately for the weather. (You know what they say, there is no bad weather, just the wrong clothes!) If it is raining, we will still hold class! In the case of rain, class will be held under an adjacent pavilion. If we have to cancel class due to extreme weather (torrential rain or extreme cold), we will reschedule up to two days during the semester, though they may not be on your regularly scheduled class day. We will email/text you ASAP to let you know of the cancellation, as well as announce it on Facebook. This is only done as a last resort. If more than two class days need to be rescheduled due to the weather, the others will be held via Zoom. No credits or refunds will be issued for rescheduled classes or classes moved to Zoom.

Teacher Illness: If a teacher is sick and unable to hold class as usual, one of three options will occur: (1) a sub will be provided, (2) class will be rescheduled, though they may not be on your regularly scheduled class day, or (3) class will be held via Zoom due to quarantine time. Thank you for being flexible as we navigate new challenges together.

Makeups: Makeup classes are not guaranteed. If there is space available, makeup classes can be scheduled using our online Makeup Scheduler.

Refund Policy: No tuition refunds or credits are given after classes begin. Families are responsible for class attendance. An administrative fee of $25.00 will be deducted upon cancellations occuring prior to the start of the semester.
