Meet Our Teachers!

Director & Instructor

With 15+ years experience teaching children music in professional, school and church settings, Jana is well-equipped with the tools and know-how to bring joy and enthusiasm to the Music Together® classroom. Jana grew up singing around the piano with her family at home (mostly some of her favorites- Broadway show tunes!) while her mom played. She attributes much of the strong bond she still has with her family to those times spent making music together. Jana is thrilled to have the opportunity to share the joy of music making and relationship-building with her community here in the Tri-Cities.

Jana, owner and director of Music Together Tri-Cities, completed the intensive Music Together Teacher Training Workshop in Seattle in the spring of 2016, and loved immersing herself in the music, philosophy and warm-fuzzies of this special program. She started Music Together Tri-Cities that summer, with her first two little classes. Jana has a B.S. from Brigham Young University in Marriage, Family and Human Development, with an emphasis in child and adolescent development and behavior.

Jana is also blessed to have an amazingly supportive husband and four wonderful, rambunctious, creative, tender-hearted children. In addition to sharing her passion for music, she enjoys reading (yay for book clubs!), being outdoors, and loves singing in the kitchen, shower, car, backyard...well, anywhere!

Sarah's love with music began when she was 5 years old and her mother enrolled her in music classes. Her love for music continued as she grew, participating in local musicals at the ACT and CBC. She graduated from Washington State University with a BA in Speech and Hearing Sciences/Communication and a minor in music. Sarah worked for two years for the Pasco School District working with preschool-6th grade students, and she still works on occassion for the Richland School District with children with special needs. Sarah completed the intensive Music Together Teacher Training in March of 2018.

In addition to teaching our classes, Sarah works hard as a full time stay at home mom. When not singing and dancing with her two children, Sarah enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband, Nick, their children Summer and Caden, and their two dogs.
